Split System

Split system HVAC is the technical term for home comfort system or central heating and air conditioning system that are designed to condition air for all seasons. Many split systems also enhance air quality by filtering out pollutants and allergens and by controlling humidity levels. Split systems generally have five main components:

Indoor furnace, heater, or air handler
Outdoor air conditioner or heat pump
Thermostat
Air quality features including filtration and humidity control
Ductwork to move conditioned air from the equipment to interior spaces

The installers maintained my residence very neat and clean during the entire time of the new A/C installation. After the installation was completed they guided me through the thermostat settings and initial setup. We recently bought a 27 year old house that had less than consistent performance from the 3 central air conditioner units.
