Cool Zone’s COVID-19 Guidelines

Cool Zone and its technicians keep up to date and diligently follow all recommendations on COVID-19 prevention as issued by the CDC and state & local health officials. We are doing everything we can to minimize and eliminate the health risks associated with HVAC repair and installation calls by strictly following specific COVID-19 protocols. For your safety and the safety of our technicians, we ask you to follow a few guidelines, too.

Cool Zone Technician Protocols

  • Cool Zone employees monitor their own health daily and any employees experiencing or displaying symptoms of illness do not come to work.
  • Cool Zone technicians always wear a mask during service calls, practice 6-feet distancing from clients, and conduct before and after disinfecting wipe downs on all surfaces touched.
  • Cool Zone technicians will try to limit time spent inside the premises to the extent possible and encourage that any job-related conversation takes place outside.
  • Any needed customer reviews of new equipment—like demonstrating how to use a new thermostat—will be conducted at a safe distance.
  • Because our technicians are masked, they will always introduce themselves by name and as Cool Zone technicians but will not shake any hands.

What We Request of You

  • If anyone in your household or business has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and/or has been displaying COVID-19 symptoms of illness, please let us know. Based on the situation, the service call may need to be postponed.
  • Prior to the service call, please share as much information about the job over the phone as possible. If it’s a repair or maintenance, detail the location of the main unit and thermostats. If a new installation, try to provide information on square footage, duct work, your electric panel, and other details. If possible, we may request a virtual meeting on Zoom or other video platform to discuss the job and get views of the job site.
  • If anyone in your household or business is diagnosed with COVID-19 or displays COVID-19 symptoms of illness within two weeks after a service call, please notify our office so that we can have the service call technician(s) tested.
  • Prior to a service call or installation, please create a clear path to all relevant thermostats by moving furniture and opening interior doors, and ensure that all indoor & outdoor AC units are unobstructed.
  • Please consider wearing a mask during a technician’s inside work and maintain at least 6 feet of distance between you.
  • After the service call, wipe down any surfaces that may have been touched by the technician with a disinfectant wipe. Our technicians will do this as well, but both parties taking this precaution independently increases safety.

We thank you very much for helping us keep all of our clients and staff safe by upholding these guidelines. Call 239-513-9199 or send us a message online if you have any questions, concerns, or would like to schedule AC service, installation, or duct cleaning with us.
